SPRING
Spring brides can pick from a variety of seasonal flowers–think beautiful, cheery options in perfect pinks, gorgeous purples and stunning blues.
Spring Wedding Flowers
Spring is all about rebirth and renewal, making it an ideal time to get married and start your journey together. Flowering bulbs, such as tulips and hyacinths come into season early, while peonies are available from late spring to early summer and are wedding favorites. Another popular spring option is the Hyacinth. These fragrant flowers come in shades of red, blue, white, orange, pink, violet or yellow.
Many spring seasonal flowers are known for their fragrance, however it’s important to pick those that aren’t overwhelming. For example, a few stems of Oriental lilies create a strong, sweet scent, so use them in larger ceremony locations. Stephanotis, freesia, stock, tuberoses, sweet peas and English Garden Roses all have a light sweet fragrance and are ideal for mother-of-the-bride and groom corsages and bridal bouquets.
Spring seasonal flowers are the most budget-friendly for weddings held in March, April and May. You can also mix seasonal flowers with year-round options, such as roses, lilies, gerbera daisies, orchids, anthuriums and other tropical flowers.

SUMMER
Summer wedding flowers feature heady, lovely scents. Think buttery yellows, bright greens and pale purples for this romantically-carefree season.
Summer Wedding Flowers
More flowers are in bloom during the summer solstice than on any other day of the year! If you’re a summer bride, you have plenty of fragrant and affordable wedding flowers to choose from. June is traditionally the most popular month to get married as the weather is arguably the best. However, June, July and August weather in the U.S. are all perfect for beach and other outdoor weddings.
For beach weddings, you can always go with an arch decorated with flowers, palm branches or other greens to create a stunning backdrop of the surf during your ceremony. Beach-inspired bouquets and centerpieces adorned with seashells add that “something blue”, and are otherwise ideal for a seashore reception.
Want a tropical vibe for your outdoor ceremony? Think tropical leaves such as croton, galax, papyrus, areca palm, elephant ear leaves and winding passionflower vine.
Again, mix the summer seasonal flowers with those available all year round if desired, such as roses, lilies, gerbera daisies, orchids, anthuriums and other tropical options.

FALL
Fall bridal flowers are all about rich reds, deep oranges and buttery yellows. Invoke the warmth and beauty of the season with these stunning fall hues.
Fall Wedding Flowers
Fall bridal bouquets and centerpieces usually feature autumnal foliage and decorations such as branches, oak leaves, acorns and crab apples. The colors are often just as important if not more so than the actual flowers. Think rich reds, fiery oranges and beautiful yellows combined with brown, gold, green, amber and russet colors.
September, October and November brides can utilize the natural landscape of the season by holding the ceremony under an oak tree, and use beautiful fallen leaves to line the aisle. A 6pm wedding takes advantage of a gorgeous orange autumn sunset, and many wineries, barns and antique inns are the ideal setting for a fall wedding. A popular trend of the moment is to have a “rustic” outdoor wedding with the guests perched on hay bales and the bride’s carriage a horse-drawn hay-wagon. Such a ceremony would be followed with a reception in a lovely barn.
Interesting fruits become available in the fall and look great in wedding arrangements. Crab apples last from now through to the winter and are one attractive option. Oak leaves and acorns in fall boutonnieres is another. Also try decorating with dried greenery, heirloom pumpkin, figs and ornamental cabbage.

WINTER
Capture the crystalline beauty of the winter season with dramatic whites and rich reds or a combination of the two, any of which are perfect for an elegant indoor ceremony and reception.
Winter Wedding Flowers
Getting married in the winter doesn’t mean limited access to flowers! Plenty of options are available to choose from.
White weddings have remained popular in winter for obvious reasons, but an all-white color palette doesn’t need to be stark white. Go for the soft, “antique” white effect using cream, ivory and pale blush flowers. Or opt for elegant silver and white arrangements, another popular flower option for winter brides. Silver leaves, sequins and tendrils of silver ribbon paired with delicate, graceful snowdrops make glamorous, gorgeous displays.
If decorating a winter wonderland event, use pussy willow branches, as they feature soft, furry buds up and down those shiny bare twigs. White tipped pinecones, mistletoe and marabou feathers, blue-gray juniper boughs, sage green lamb’s ear and silvery Dusty Miller leaves also feature a frosty effect reminiscent of this snow-laden season.
Christmas wedding flower options may include festive holiday red flowers such as velvety, perfectly opened amaryllis blossoms. Add hypericum berries, lacy sprigs of arborvitae, red berries and holly to create a stunning seasonal bridal bouquet or beautiful red table centerpiece.
