It may be Hump Day to most, but to wedding professionals and brides-to-be with a Twitter or Facebook account it’s known as Wedding Wednesday. Sure you’ve got all your wedding plans and celebrations set for the weekend, but nothing is wrong with getting a head start.
Wedding Wednesday is the day when members of the wedding community show support for one another through various tweets acknowledging businesses and camaraderie with their peers. It’s also the day when many wedding business offer advice to brides, answer questions, post reviews and any other information to help brides plan their big day.
Those in the wedding industry usually send a tweet listing the twitter handles of their favorite wedding professionals to encourage others to follow them on Twitter. Other wedding professionals spend the day updating their loyal followers on the latest bridal trends and statistics.
Of course, all this information is posted in 140 characters or less, as per Twitter rules, followed by a hashtag saying #WeddingWednesday or #WW. The hashtags are used to group tweets of the same topic together to make them easily searchable for their followers and other Twitter users.
And on Wedding Wednesday, the networking possibilities are endless. Brides-to-be benefit from the opportunity to connect with other engaged girls. After all, who wouldn’t like the chance to dish about wedding planning woes and surprises with someone experiencing the same things?

There’s even a Wedding Wednesday Facebook Fanpage “liked” by 400+ people looking to mingle and chat with other wedding-minded people.
