Already one of the most festive evenings of the year, we’re seeing New Year’s Eve weddings pop up as a favorite date for couples to say “I do.” And if you’re the go-big-or-go-home type of couple, NYE is your chance to do just that — there’s nothing understated about it.
We can’t help but feel like a NYE wedding oozes a Great Gatsby-esque air of sophistication — from sparkly gowns to champagne fountains, streamers, confetti, masquerade masks and black tie attire. For the couple who loves to party, a NYE wedding is perfectly fitting, as you’ll dance the night away into the wee hours of the New Year.
When planning a NYE celebration, consider a couple things: 1) Your start time should be later, say 6 or 7 p.m., since your guests have to make it to midnight (and well beyond!); 2) The hours of operation of stores and services may be altered due to the holiday, so if you’re banking on picking up dry cleaning that day, you better do it the day before.
We’re drooling over these snaps of NYE-inspired nuptials. And remember, if Dec. 31 is your date of choice, you’ll always have more than one thing to celebrate. Cheers!
