Is there a rule when it comes to bridemaids and groomsmen; do they need to be single? Also, do the bride and groom provide financial assistance in purchasing the bridemaids and groomsmen attire? Please give us your opinion in regard to this issue, thanks.
Wedding Queen
Your bridesmaids and groomsmen do not have to be single. Many times, when inviting married people to be a part of your bridal party, the other half of the couple is not invited to be a part of the party. It’s perfectly fine to select single or married people. The bridal party usually pays for their own attire but if you offer assistance this would be a generous gesture, especially if you have selected a very expensive bridesmaid dress.

You should choose whoever you you want to be a close part of your special day. There is no need for any of them to be single. The only exception is your Maid of Honor — if she is married then her title will be Matron of Honor.

There’s no reason you can’t ask a married friend to be a bridesmaid or groomsman. You would still call everybody a bridesmaid or groomsman.
