Are traditional weddings outdated ?

Now in this era we all think about modernity and innovation, even in the wedding field; so it sounds almost unnatural to speak about traditional weddings. Anyway, there are some among us who consider these weddings to be very appropriate for their style and personality. And this makes us wonder: are traditional weddings outdated?

Well, for a very modern person who only thinks about including contemporary and new things in his / her wedding ceremony, a traditional reception might seem something inappropriate. We totally agree with these persons, because after all everybody has the right to organize their wedding ceremony according to their means and likes. In short, if traditions and wedding rituals are not something you can relate to, then you should exclude them. Of course, only if this would make you happy.

In our society we can find a lot of such people, but among them there are many others who couldn’t imagine their wedding without wedding traditions. These people would do everything by the book only to be sure that their wedding ceremony will be a successful and beautiful event. Anyway, if you are thinking about having something like this, you would better catch a good night sleep, because you will have a long and busy wedding day. We are not trying to scare you away, but we thought that you should be prepared for everything.

However, in order to give an answer to the question we have asked in the first paragraph, we believe that tradition will never get out of style. This is what we are and what defines us as people, so even the extremely modern ones should think about including some rituals here and there.

Yes, we agree, there are some things that are really outdated, but if you are willing to have a traditional ceremony it doesn’t have to mean that you should have every single ritual in your wedding. You could discuss with your beloved one and see what you may include in your nuptials. You should establish a common denominator, so that you would both be comfortable with the things you will have at your party.

Therefore, when it comes to traditions and more especially to wedding traditions it is impossible to say no. Why? Well, because it will be like denying your own roots. So, do not perceive traditional ceremonies as outdated because rituals really add color and passion to your nuptials.
