Grooms are usually omitted from discussions related to fashion trends on the big day. As we all know, everything revolves around the bride, and we can understand that, but sometimes less is better and we need to offer some attention to the groom, too. Not only from the fashion point of view, but also from that of the health – good looks and methods of preparing themselves for the most important day of their lives.

So, I asked myself what would be nice to take into account? I find boutonnieres a great wedding accessory for grooms and not only. Boutonnieres tend to get more and more popular among grooms and best men as the main accessory. And I can understand why: they look great and they beautify the image of the entire suit.
If you want my opinion, I think that boutonnieres complete a groom suit really nicely, especially now that it’s hot outside and the weather is fine. The weather is a big plus, because you have multitude of options from which you can pick, starting with roses and ending with peonies and other unique flowers, which can be found this time of the year.
Matching the boutonniere with the tie
Also, when it comes to boutonnieres, you have two options: to match them with the tie or not. I, suggest you to apply for a colored tie and match the boutonniere with it – this should make a really nice visual effect.
There’s the option in which the tie is in a classic tone of black. What can you do then? Add a boutonniere in a color you prefer. Yes, if you have a black tie, then a lively colored accessory will revive your entire outfit.
Combining the shirt with the boutonniere
A colored shirt is also an item to combine with the boutonniere. If your shirt is yellow, then combining it with a yellow boutonniere should be the perfect solution. Don’t you think so? Of course, this is only an example, because the same needs to be done in other cases of colors for the shirts. I just offered you a starting point, so you know where to begin.
The material of the boutonniere
Think seriously about the materials you want the boutonniere to be made of. Do you want it to consist of a natural flower? Or were you thinking about silk flowers? Sincerely, a natural boutonniere would smell great, that will offer you a natural scent, but pick it in such a manner as to resist and not to whiter.
Then, there’s always the option of a silk boutonniere and lately I’ve seen a trend of brooch boutonniere or of that made of paper, besides the very well known silk one.
