How To Plan a Bridal Shower That Won’t Break The Bank

unnamed

We recently wrote an article about how expensive it is to be a bridesmaid.  The cost of being part of perfect wedding can really add up and the bridal shower is a big expense.  So, In order to help you still meet all your responsibilities but not break the bank we have come up with a few things to consider when you throwing the bridal shower.

Location, Location, Location

Just like in realestate the location matter when it comes to price.  There are many and unique locations that are free to use so don’t spend the extra money on rental fees.

Shower Invitations

Bridal shower invitations can be as inexpensive as you would like them to be.  You can even do digital invites that are free if you are really looking to lower your costs. However, with that being said if you will do a search online you will be able to find many stationery companies where you will be able to get 25 – 50 invitations for less than a dollar a piece.

Décor

Just like with wedding traditions it is good to have something that is borrowed so don’t hesitate to reach out to the other bridesmaids to see what cute decorations they may have.  Once you have the main decorations items in place you can add balloons and other small accessories without spending too much.

Games

Games are great for your budget because many of them don’t cost a thing.  With a little preparation you can plan many games that will be a huge hit with your guest but not a big hit to your wallet.

Food

When it comes to saving on your food budget you will want to avoid hiring a caterer for the shower if possible.  Making the appetizers yourself may take a little longer but can save you a ton if you have the time.

Favors

A bridal shower budget can quickly be blown out of proportion when it comes to the party favors but if you use a little creativity you can make some adorable favors that are still in budget.
