The truth is that the aspect of the shoes is indeed a very touching subject and depending on the pick that you make, you feel or don’t feel great in the bridal day. Yes, because you’re going to wear them for more then 10 hours and this means that they have to be comfortable and elegant in the same time.
In most of the cases, it can happen for you to fall in love with a pair of shoes and you can’t purchase them in your size, this being equal with tragedy! Think that for the bridal day you have to have a pair of shoes that has to be in an appropriate color with the dress that you have. The great thing about high heel shoes is that they are really elegant and they confer you a gorgeous posture, creating the illusion of long legs, obliging you in the same time to have a sexy and arched back. Think of the red carpet celebrities from the Oscars and we’re sure you don’t recall any celebrity wearing ballerina shoes or sneakers. We have to admit that the high heel shoes are the appropriate type for elegant occasions and implicitly for the bridal gown.
But a high heel means discomfort and the position of the leg isn’t a natural one, your weight center changes its position and your body is going to try to adapt to the new situation in which there cannot be a balance. This is why you need exercise and perseverance in order to walk on high heels!
Here are some indications on how you can learn to walk on high heels if you didn’t try a pair up to this moment. So, if you make this step for the first time in your bridal day, then you have about two weeks of training. You have to start step by step, with 5-6 cm high heels, then 8-9 cm and then you can pass the 10 cm level. Wear high heel shoes in your household, practicing the walk on different surfaces, with or without a carpet, on the floor, on the marble and so on. Also, we recommend you to try going down some stairs with the shoes on. Watch yourself in the mirror every now and then, up to the moment you get used with them, up to the moment you begin having confidence and maintain motivation.
As we were mentioning, high heel shoes are not comfortable in the real sense, but this doesn’t mean that there aren’t pairs which are friendlier than others. When you try on the shoes, try to notice the distribution of your body weight. A good block will make the body weight be set on the heel. This is why if you feel that the tip is the area that takes it all, be sure that you’re not going to wear that pair more than 2 or 3 hours. Also, the shoes have to fit perfectly in dimension. On the one hand, it’s perfectly normal to have a thicker leg or longer than the other. This is why you have to apply with confidence to gel pillows or sprays for making the shoes appropriate.
Before starting effectively to walk on the high heels, there’s the need of seeing the heel of the shoes, if it’s slippery then they might create problems. Once you have tried on the shoes, make sure you stand still and look at everybody from your new height. Take the shoulders in the back and hold the muscles of your abs still. Think of the Barbie doll and the manner in which she has the leg made: that is the position that you have to maintain throughout the walk. Even though initially, it will seem more normal to walk on the tips of your legs, later you’ll see that it’s perfectly normal to walk in this way and you’re going to begin to get used to it.
