My daughter is getting married in May. Her decor colors are pink and brown. She is wearing a very very lightly tinted pink-tone dress, and the bridesmaids will be in brown. I will be walking down the aisle with her and her father. May I wear an ivory dress?

Today it isn’t viewed as taboo for the mothers to wear shades of white as long as the dress doesn’t appear to be a wedding dress. However, since you are walking her down the aisle, it may not be the best choice. Look at your dress with a discerning eye and decide if it could be viewed as a wedding dress. If so, then choose another one.

If it were me, I’d choose a different color. And, please choose something conservative.
