I am a second time around bride, but this being my fiance’s first marriage we are having a medium sized wedding. I have some friends (a couple) who were instrumental to me during my divorce. I would’ve never made it through without them. They were with me every step of the way! However, I currently have five attendants and couldn’t possibly add more. I want them to have a special role in the wedding day they helped me pray for. Is it appropriate to seat them as “Guests of Honor” right before the Grandparents are seated or do I risk offending other guests?
Thanks for your help!

Dear Honoring,
No, it shouldn’t offend anyone. All of us have special people in our lives. These are often not family. It would be wonderful for you to honor them in this manner.
Best wishes,
