Hi there ~ I have a “wording” question
My Fiance and I were to be married but it was canceled/rescheduled due to my daughter ending up in the hospital the night before.
Now that I have finally figured out the costs of rescheduling and arranged a date with all vendors and the venue, I have no idea what to do as far as invitations.
Should I send out invations again?
And, if so, what should they say?
I was thinking to lighten the mood I would put something fun, but I cannot find anything on the internet at all about how to word invitations once the wedding has been rescheduled?
Thank you so much,
Kristina

Dear Needs Help,
I’m so sorry about your daughter. I hope she is better now.
If your wedding is informal, you could send informally written from the heart invitations. In that case you could write anything you wish. This is an example of the more traditional: Mr. and Mrs. Your Parents announce that the marriage of their daughter You to Him had been postponed and will now take place Saturday, the ….. If you are hosting your own wedding, you would announce it yourself.
Best wishes,

Author,
Dear Kristina, I do hope your daughter is ok. You may certainly lighten the mood, but please keep in mind that the invitation sets the mood for the event. If you are having a very formal, elegant event, then a funny invitation would not be appropriate. If you are having a casual affair, then funny is fine. For formal wording, I recommend The Crane’s Wedding Blue Book. I wish you all the best,
